Or might there be other 1" drivers worth a listen? The drivers currently crossover at Hz and are mounted to spherical mahogany 'tractrix' horns Will await your thoughts as always! All best Inamelotone :thmbsp:. Inamelotone , Dec 15, Messages: 3, Very popular as an upgrade for those that have caught the ewave bug. But it could be you just need a little EQ. At one time I used JBL s on Edgar salad bowl tractrix horns and they sounded keen, crossover was around hz. The s use aluminum diaphragms and some people think aluminum sounds better than titanium, maybe you'd think the same.
Tom Brennan , Dec 15, Thank you all for your thoughts I am crossing at Hz as this is the frequency recommended by the guys who make the horn I am using and who recommend the J as a good match , it does seem to go down quite nicely Have any of you ever used the JBL ? As a vintage audio geek I do find them quite appealing Bye for now Inamelotone. Thanks for this Tom, I think if I come across a pair at the right price I could well be tempted Inamelotone , Dec 16, You must log in or sign up to reply here.
