Pyeongcho Artist. Or at least in San Francisco, where Weber stops to see him one last time before settling down to the humble, lonely life he figures a frog like him has coming. Cyrus Benning is a successful neurosurgeon, so details are never lost on him. He spotted the prince in a broken-down bull rider's clothing from day one. Now Cyrus has one last chance to prove to Weber that it's not Weber's job that makes him Cyrus's perfect man, it's Weber himself. Cyrus might have laid down an ultimatum once, but now it's turned into a vow—he's never going to let Weber out of his life again.

She gave me this book in dead tree form but not this book really. She gave me the paperback of the manga version. She gave me the last one. So, I guess there is issues with publishing it or something and well, she wanted me to have it.
So, I read it while I was in Virginia. I've never read manga before. I don't think I could do it on the regular but this was easy to follow since I know the story pretty well. There were penises! On the page! Oh, sorry, I got distracted! I loved it. I really did. It's funny, I often think this isn't a favorite of mine by Mary. I'm wrong about that. I hope you guys get a chance to see this beautiful book. View all 4 comments.
The artwork as a whole was amazing. But the story was good and in great keeping of the frog and prince fairytale. View 2 comments. I loved that. The art was beautiful. It put a new dynamic on a story that I already loved. I think I'd enjoy reading another mm novel in manga form. Mar 11, Amy Aislin rated it it was amazing Shelves: beautiful , boys-who-like-boys , contemporary , favourite-reads , graphic-novel , lovers-reunite , tearjerker. I adored this so much. I haven't read the novel, and I'm so glad about that because it allowed me to experience this story for the first time via this amazing graphic novel.
I loved the art, the story--which was truly beautiful--and the characters. Just such a gem! View 1 comment. Great summery. Still so very unbalanced. Sweat as heck storyline. Glad it was made into a comic. The manwha version of this story leaves much to be desired. The two stars are for the story written by Mary Calmes, and I am chagrined to rate it so low, but this rating is about the manwha itself.
The main focus is the redrawn product. The artist is all right but inconsistent. They are definitely better at drawing people than anything else which is why the panels are very plain with usually just people. Somehow Web ended up a dirty blond rather than a ginger—which is weird. The core of the sto The manwha version of this story leaves much to be desired.
The core of the story is still there but there are so many odd and weird decisions in the formatting and word choices of this story that it comes off as inexperienced and amateurish instead of something being produced by a book publisher, which brings us to the main issue.
The quality of the manwha is horrible. It does not do justice to the story that the author deserves. The book size and formatting completely throw away industry standards, and for the worse. Instead of using the page fully like an experienced manwha, manga or graphic artist know how to do, there are margins, making the drawings small in an already odd-sized, small book choice.
There are industry standards, easily found, to produce this type of product. There are graphic novel and manga producers out there to get advice from.
There are indie comic artists online who do a better quality job than what is here. From what I understand, the publisher plans to make more of these.
Please, please, please stop thinking that the wheel has to be recreated when the industry is already using hovercrafts. From what I have gathered, they have a deal with a Korean artist to create the manwha but have to translate the book back into English.
How it can be so clumsy is odd since they have the English novel they started with. Why would you do that? Again, has the publisher never looked at a graphic novel or manga before? Then there is the weird choices in the word bubbles. Not Siiigh Do it right. Then I will give you more of my money. Stop now. The production of the stories is sparse at best, but being able to find and buy them is a chore. Readers were told this manwha was to come out in March of last year then the publisher stopped any kind of updates.
Jan 17, Bronwyn Heeley rated it really liked it Shelves: own , manga-graphic. Also reading it left to right was odd, I was messing up which part to read constantly as I read a lot of mangas that read right to left not sure if where this is originally translated from does it this way or not but that was completely on me.
Overall, t 3. Overall, tho, it was a sweet story that I think it worked well in this format.
